Laser Alignment Adapter - How It Works

Like a string alignment but better.

The Alignment Adapters allow you to use auto leveling lasers with an adjuster base to perform a four wheel alignment similar to a string alignment.  With strings you create a "string box" around the car to measure toe from and there are plenty of tutorials online if you want to know more about how strings work.

The Laser Alignment Adapters are laser cut and bolted on to the chassis so they are equal side to side creating a reference point for the lasers.  They also have notches cut into them to calibrate the lasers creating the equivalent of a "string box".

Benefits include:

Faster set up time than strings

  • Installing the adapters and calibrating the lasers only takes a few minutes.  Compared to setting up strings which have a more tedious process of going back and forth to measure and move the strings to be aligned correctly.

No strings in the way

  • With lasers there is nothing in the way when working on the car.  With strings they always seem to be in the way and often get bumped accidently and require recalibrating.
